The Transgender Day of Visibility is a day to celebrate transgender, nonbinary, and gender non-conforming people of the past, present, and future. Transgender people and people outside the binary of “male” and “female” have historically existed in cultures all over the world. We are witnessing a moment of cultural gender revival and the creation of a new culture within LGBT+ communities. In the wake of a cultural and legislative backlash due to the recent heightened visibilty of LGBT+ people, how do we find moments of “Trans Joy”? We welcome you to come celebrate the transgender experience as you consider your own joy within gender.
