Unitarian Universalism welcomes children not only for who they will become in the future but for all that they offer right now.
The Religious Exploration (RE) program at UUFF provides a safe, loving, and fun community for our children to learn about our Unitarian Universalist principles, history, and teachings, as well as those of other religions. RE classes are offered from September to May for children ages 6 to 13 during the Sunday morning service, and childcare is available for 2- to 5-year-olds. There is no fee for RE classes or Sunday morning childcare, however parents are asked to fill out a registration form.
At UUFF children learn to search for their own truth in the company of others, to seek peace and justice in the world, and to engage their whole selves — mind and body, heart and soul — in creating a meaningful life journey. In addition to learning about our UU heritage, children learn about the Bible and our Judeo-Christian heritage, about other major world religions, and about living ethically and with compassion. We take advantage of the rich Unitarian Universalist curricula available for preschool through adult, as well as designing our own lessons on occasion.
